The Award
The 2016 Driver’s Choice Awards are chosen by the editors at the PBS show MotorWeek. The MotorWeek producer said that the Titan XD has vastly increased abilities. The Capability
The Titan XD is built on a larger, stronger frame than the regular Titan. It needs that bigger build to sustain the loads that it is ready to carry. The powertrain is a V8 Turbo Diesel. It kicks out 310 horsepower, which compares favorably to the Ram diesel’s 240 horsepower. The torque thrust can hit 555 lb.-ft., which again compares favorably to the Ram diesel’s 420 lb.-ft. This makes the Titan XD better than any other light duty truck at pulling a heavy load. The basic tow rating is 12,300 pounds.
