The Nissan Frontier was introduced to the compact truck market in 1997. Originally, the Frontier was produced in Smyrna, Tennessee. Over the years, the Frontier has adapted to changes, and it is now a part of the mid-size truck market. Nissan now manufactures the Frontier at their facility in Canton, Mississippi.

Versions
The Nissan Frontier is available as either a Crew Cab or a King Cab and has five trim levels. Trim levels include S, SV V6, Desert Runner, Pro-4X and SL. Additionally, the Crew Cab is available in a Midnight Edition that features a black front grille and black alloy wheels.

2019 Nissan Frontier Performance
There are two engine choices available for the Nissan Frontier. One is a lightweight aluminum 2.5 liter 16 valve 4-cylinder engine that offers 152 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. The other choice is a 24 valve 4.0 liter V6 that offers 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. This option also offers an available Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) feature that gives the option of using ethanol E85, gasoline or a mixture of the two fuels to power the truck. Transmission options include a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission that offers a manual shift mode. The Frontier offers available technologies and off-road features to unlock the possibilities of travelling off the beaten path. An Active Brake Limited Slip system, Electronic Locking Rear Differential, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control and Selectable Drive Modes help drivers to maintain control on a variety of terrains. A fully boxed ladder frame, double-wishbone front suspension, overslung rigid leaf spring rear suspension, Bilstein shocks and high ground clearance are incorporated into the design of the 2019 Frontier to provide durability for whatever the road brings. The Frontier offers potential towing capacity of up to 6,720 pounds, and it can haul up to 1,460 pounds of cargo in the bed.

2019 Nissan Frontier Cabin Features
From storage to connectivity, the cabin of the Nissan Frontier is designed to be a home away from home. Features such as an available leather wrapped steering wheel or leather-appointed seats are designed for sophisticated comfort. Available power seats that have the option to be heated allows drivers to travel in maximum comfort. Auxiliary inputs, USB inputs and available SiriusXM Radio provides flexibility with music entertainment. With the Siri Eyes Free feature, drivers can use features on their iPhone with the touch of a button located on the steering wheel. The RearView Monitor assists with parking and an available Rear Sonar System gives an auditory warning when it senses a stationary object behind the truck. The auto-dimming rear view mirror helps to prevent glare from headlights behind the truck as well as providing a compass and temperature display. To keep items neatly out of view inside the Frontier, there is a center console, a dual level glove compartment and storage underneath the back seats.
