The Nissan GT-R isn’t meant to be left idling. This year Nissan has upped the excitement quotient by giving it a makeover.

Exterior
The V-motion grille looks right at home on this sports car. With pronounced character lines to catch the eye, the all-new hood has a reinforced structure improve stability during high-speed driving. The side air vents are fully functional as are the quad exhaust tips. It wears 20-inch 15-spoke wheels from Rays. Schedule a test drive at your Nissan dealer.

Interior
Nappa leather now wraps the instrument panel. Lighter front seats have side supports that can do their job without taking away from your comfort. Colors include a New Rakuda Tan semi-aniline leather. Amber Red and Ivory are also on tap. The new dashboard layout reduces the switches. The new capacity touch-panel monitor puts large icons on the display screen.

Speed
GT-R drivers command an award-winning 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo. It cranks out 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed dual-clutch transmission smooths the shifts.

Sound
While the car has an acoustic glass windshield and sound absorption to keep the bad sound out, it also has Active Sound Enhancement so you can hear the engine’s response. The new lightweight titanium exhaust system also makes its contribution.

Better Handling
The build has been improved for better handling. The suspension was retuned and the body structure strengthened for better cornering and quick lateral transitions.

Awesome Alternative
If the GT-R just isn’t in your budget, the affordable 2017 Nissan 370Z is the answer. Swift and racy, it offers fun, performance, and style.
