The Nissan Versa is a car that has been around for a while, it’s a great selling car, it’s a good, dependable car and it’s also one of the least expensive cars on the market today.

While the newest launch has a slightly higher price tag, it’s still priced well below many of its competitors. It comes with standard features which were once optional and some improvements in size and more safety features.

2020 Nissan Versa – What’s New, Nissan Versa?

While being dependable and inexpensive is great, it wasn’t quite enough. This new 2020 has vastly upped the wow factor and still manage to remain in the very affordable section of affordability.

The Versa has three different versions available, the S, the SV and the SR. The base version used to be just that, to keep the car dependable and inexpensive. Now, there are a few more standard features, including:

  • frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking
  • rear automatic emergency braking
  • lane departure warning
  • a rearview camera
  • power windows and door locks
  • Bluetooth
  • 7-inch touchscreen

The base transmission is a five-speed manual but their continuously variable automatic transmission CVT, called Xtronic, is available as an option.

If you move up to the SV level, you will find a few extra features. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert,  satellite radio and the CVT transmission.

The SR trim has keyless doors, remote engine start, automatic climate control, LED headlights, a six-speaker audio system and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

You can also find other extras, like body-colored mirrors and door handles, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control and premium fabric seats.

2020 Nissan Versa – Great Car and Still a Great Price

While the new engine may boost power, it doesn’t seem to hurt the excellent gas mileage. The mid-range trim Versa, the SV,  seems like the best bet, as it combines the standard safety features with a few extras for cosmetics and comfort.

There is plenty of room for five passengers comfortably. It’s a great family car, with four-doors, a large trunk and great gas mileage. Perfect for trips to practice, to work, to school and weekends away.

Great car in the city or the highway with a smooth ride. This new version looks much more stylish now with its new design. It stands out as a subcompact sedan as well, because so many are being discontinued.

This car is great for a family, second family car, the first car for a young driver. It’s safe and reliable and won’t hit break-neck speeds, so it is perfect for less experienced drivers.

The slight changes made in the physical design make this car more attractive than its previous model, which may make it more attractive to car buyers. It has been the go-to car for people who need a great car for a great price, but now, with more style and more power, it may start turning the heads of others, as well.

If you need more proof, go take one out for a spin and see for yourself.
