Award Winner
The Titan is totally new while the Tundra is not. As a result, the Nissan has earned 2017 Truck of the Year from Truck Trends. Furthermore, it got a higher score in the rankings at U.S. News and World Report. The Titan XD earned AutoGuide Truck of the Year and the JD Power Apeal award. Performance
Toyota has an older V8 engine that produces 380 horsepower and 401 lb.ft. of torque. The Titan has an all-new 5.6-liter Endurance engine. This produces the same torque level and ten more horsepower. Toyota utilizes a six-speed automatic while Nissan has a new-generation seven-speed automatic. Only Titan XD comes with a special V8 turbo diesel. It cranks out 555 lb.ft. of torque, allowing it to tow like a medium-duty truck.
Body
Nissan engineered an all new body for the Titan and even larger Titan XD. The new beds are deeper and longer than before. They match or surpass the Tundra. With the recent introduction of the Titan King Cab, you can now find as many configurations as you do at Toyota. Shoppers will like the six-person King Cab with its large back row. Only Nissan lets you delete the second row in favor of the largest interior cargo hold available in mainstream trucks.
